I rarely watch GMTV, i must admit i prefere the clipped stiff upper lip BBC Breakfast to the intentionally chilled out style of the comercial ITV. If I wanted news like that i’d just watch American news. However today the news is pretty boring so i was switching around while eating my porridge and came accross a GMTV reporter talking about last Saturday’s XFactor and how they (no suprise) humliated a girl and were they going too far….They showed the clip which was obviously cringefull showing an unfortunately very overweight girl dressed totally inappropriately trying to sing Celine Dion. If that wasn’t bad enough, they suddenly pan the camera to show the girl, and 3 members of her family all sitting there in the studio talking about how unfair it was. I was schocked. The truth is, the X Factor can be a nasty show and unless you can honestly sing, you are opening yourself up to being totally humiliated and poked fun at. Everyone knows that. So why prolong this girl’s humiliation??? And how completley stupid can these parents be??? And more importantly, Why is this news??????
